Ayala Experience

video courtesy of Youtube

I haven’t seen or heard any news yet about the prayer rally held in Makati just this afternoon. And that is because I WAS THERE!

And I am happy that I was able to witness it and yes, MARAMING TAO. According to our Student Reagent/Youth Speaker for the Event Terry Ridon, 80,000 people attended. The police prevented the ABS-CBN helicopter from circling around the Ayala Avenue after seeing the huge number of prayer rallyists present. It seems that they did everything in their power today just to prevent the inevitability of another humiliation – if you base it from the number of people who were there.

Our nation’s religious leaders led the inter-faith prayer rally. A Muslim kid represented Islam, the bishops, priests, and a nun represented Roman Catholicism, Brother Eddie Villanueva represented the Born-Again Christians, and a native represented the Religions of the Minorities. It was not implied that this certain religious leader represented this or that but it was quite obvious.

Office workers watching in the tall buildings were improvising confetti through cutting scratch papers/newspapers showering these to us at the streets. We don’t know if they really want to show their support or they just want to get rid of the bulk of their useless papers. But personally I’m positive about it. I even grabbed one from the sky (such a dork) and kept it as a souvenir.

We saw Jun Lozada at the Yellow Cab. Saw Korina Sanchez too who seems to be unapproachable. I was intimidated to look at her (Starstruck?). Erap Estrada looks like a cartoon. Cory Aquino is Little Miss Sunshine. Binay is Hardcore. Archbishop Oscar Cruz is the Rockstar! All religious leaders apart from him delivered long dragging speeches. What did he say? “GMA Resign!” and then asked us to repeat it. That’s it!

Seek the TRUTH: Macapagal Highway, Hello Garci Controversy, Fertilizer Fund Scam, NBN-ZTE Scandal, and yada yada yada!

JUSTICE for the victims of Extra-Judicial Killings and Forced Disappearances!

Sana hindi na lang dumating si Erap. Isa siyang laughing stock. Don’t you talk about corruption. Please lang!...... I still have to blog my stand about the issues. As Sir Jal Taguibao said, RESEARCH! And before I forget, nakamayan ko nga pala si Guingona… kaso… si Guingona NANAMAN?

Today... Life is Beautiful

I just watched one of the movies that really moved me. I almost forgot how cruel the world was for Jews during the holocaust. The film isn’t even about the latter; it is about positivism, love, and the father’s struggle to shield his little son’s innocence. I have never seen a film like this, a film that is so funny and actually heartbreaking at the same time.

La Vita รจ Bella, in my opinion, is one of the movies you have to watch before you breathe your last breath. And if you really want to feel the movie, I am telling you, don’t watch in the company of
people who are fond of Excessive Side Commenting. Matamaan na kung sino ang matamaan!

TUHOG: A Review

Regardless of my blockmates’ parody of the film (e.g. Amang Wag Po Amang, Dayami, and Apo Tinurbo ng Lolo which gave birth to our Turbo Chronicles); I consider this one of the most meaningful films in Philippine Cinema, a gasp of fresh air from the recent entirely hideous Enteng Kabisote and Shake, Rattle, and Roll films.

Basically, the film could be in the bold genre since it shows graphic incest and animalistic sex. A man who raped his daughter, bore a new daughter, and raped this new daughter after continuously raping his first daughter. But in my opinion, it isn’t a bold movie in essence.

“Tuhog” criticizes the exploitation of the film industry (media, etcetera) as portrayed on the departures of the film inside this film. How?

In the movie, film production people found interest on the story of the characters played by Ina Raymundo and Irma Adlawan. They offered them money with the condition of giving them the material they will use for their next big-screen project assuring them that sex in the film version is for art’s sake and that there would be minimal departures from the original story.

The heart-breaking at the same time infuriating tragedy of the actual circumstances of Raymundo and Adlawan’s characters in the movie turned out to be slapstick and pornographic in the film version. When they saw the movie themselves, entitled “Hayok Sa Laman”, they impulsively left the cinema halfway with the feelings of destruction and abuse all over again, the feelings of being incestuously raped once more.

Masa Ba U?

Ginanap kanina ang Jologs Quiz Show sa Little Theatre ng Kolehiyo ng Agham at Sining sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas Manila. Siyempre… SUMALI AKO!!!

I’m sorry pero I don’t alam anything tungkol sa pagiging Jologs kase eh! It’s like me and Aileen only kuha like 23 points all in all. First question kasi is like “What station is Kapuso?” and I quite revolt kase coz GMA is uber jologs.. Oh my! GMA.. I’m tama! I got the first tanong in the first round. So galing of me naman!

Aminin nating lahat, there is always a part of us na Jologs. Kinilig tayo sa Koreanobelang Lovers in Paris. Alam natin ang mga linyang “Yes, I am a slut, but I’m the best slut in town!” at “I never said that I love you!” It’s depen, It’s Dependot. Who’s afraid of La Niรฑa, who’s afraid of signal 1, 2, 3!

And sometimes, it's worth taking a risk for this country."

Manuod ng GMA7 to broaden your Jologs knowledge. Peace!

Kapuso, maganda ang bukas!

Tanto

Submissive lang talaga ako and I have the tendency to please kaya't hinahayaan ko na lang.

Madalas nagpapakumbaba ako ngunit sa kaloob-looban, I want to be appreciated. Kahit mga payak na bagay, I want to be praised.

When I'm There...

I have not proven anything yet and I am working my way to the steps towards the attainment of my goals. And by the time I am in the steps of achieving my goals, it would definitely be consistent with what I would like to be.

And when I'm there, I should not constantly complain but will be decisive when needed. I should always be descent and sensitive particularly when interacting. I should work my way to the summit of my chosen career without selling my soul. And I would always look back to where I came from.

It's Easy To Forgive But Not To Forget

But in this case, it's also not easy to forgive. The staff, teachers and some student representatives were requesting me to file a petition against the new curriculum imposed by She Who Must Not Be Named. I filed the requested petition and it turned out to be a long, long list of signatures. She found out about it. She was enraged and was not able to swallow her pride. She gathered all the high-school teachers, student representatives, and SBO officials in a room. Oral Defamation! Slander! Slur! She completely fabricated an alibi and made me look like the culprit. I never initiated that petition. Her staff and her teachers under her nose asked me to. And what made me enrage the most were her humble little words “If a leader is not a good role model, then why bother to follow that leader.”

She deserves to be named. But I'd rather not name her. Vengeance is God’s. I would rather do revenge through success.

My Earliest Memory

This is the earliest memory in my life I still remember vividly. I was a ring and coin bearer at the wedding of Tita Susan, my mom’s friend. During the ceremony, I sucked a lollipop and the ring of the bride was caught in my lollipop stick. Everyone in the ceremony laughed. I know they didn’t laugh because they thought it was bad, I think they laughed because they thought it was very cute and memorable. I was very small and cute at that time.
